@BeautyEmpties recently started #travelsizethursday on Instagram. The premise of this activity is that you try 5 samples for the week and then post your results. I loved the idea because it's a great way to use up my stash of samples. Also, I love reading the results from each of the participants at the end of each week.

May and June 2013 Empties
I did not get around to posting my May empties, so I am combining my May and June empties into this single post. I am determined to use up my inventory of samples and full size products! I am proud to say that I have been using up significantly more products ever since my first empties post in February.

Skincare Stash: Serums Inventory
This post is solely on my stash of serums. Check out my stash of facial cleansers and toners. I'll write separate posts for exfoliators, masks, moisturizers and other skincare products. For reference, I have acne-prone combination-oily skin.
Serums are concentrated, specialized skin care products. Serums contain smaller molecules than moisturizers. So, compared to moisturizers, serums can penetrate deeper layers of skin. Finally, serums can address specific skin concerns such as fine lines, hyperpigmentation and decreased collagen.
I apply a serum after cleaning and applying toner to my face, both in the morning and evening. I favor serums that address hyper-pigmentation and dullness.
