Blog 1 Anniversary Giveaway: 3 of 5

I recently celebrated my blog's 1-year anniversary. This is the third giveaway of the 5-giveaway series to celebrate my 'blogiversary'!

Thank you so much for reading and commenting on this blog. I truly appreciate your support! I love chatting with you about our favorite products and subscription boxes and also sharing shopping deals.

I recently published a Facebook page for the blog, so please 'like' the blog's page on Facebook (you'll get an extra entry in the giveaway)! As a side note, I signed up for a Facebook pay-it-forward initiative, so that is the reason that there will be 5 giveaways. I hope that the 5 giveaway winners will continue the pay-it-forward initiative by offering a random act of kindness to 5 other people in their lives.

Now, for the important giveaway details...

Barkbox August 2013 Review

I had won an August BarkBox for our dog and never got around to reviewing it! Don't worry, that certainly doesn't mean that I had deprived him of the box contents until now - I let him enjoy a few of the goodies as soon as the box had arrived!

Contents: August's small & cute BarkBox was 'inspired by the deep blue sea' and included 5 different items.

Conscious Box Classic June 2013 Review

This June Classic Conscious box review is quite delayed. Once again, I was slightly disappointed in the Conscious box contents. I procrastinated while writing this review because I prefer to not write negative reviews on products and subscription boxes. However, I reasoned that it would be helpful for readers to see the contents of the June Classic Conscious box to determine if this subscription box is a good fit for their lifestyle. These opinions are solely my own and keep in mind that the same products/subscription box may have been loved by others.

Conscious Box - Gluten-Free Box May 2013

This May Gluten-Free Conscious box review is quite delayed. Once again, I was slightly disappointed in the Conscious box contents. I thought that this May Gluten-Free box was not as good as the April Gluten-Free box. I procrastinated while writing this review because I prefer to not write negative reviews on products and subscription boxes. However, I reasoned that it would be helpful for readers to see the contents of the May Gluten-Free Conscious box to determine if this subscription box is a good fit for their lifestyle. These opinions are solely my own and keep in mind that the same products/subscription box may have been loved by others.

Barkbox Summary

Box: Barkbox is a NYC-based monthly subscription box for dogs. Simply choose a box size (Small & Cute for 1-20 lbs, Just Right for 20-50 lbs or Big & Bold for 50+ lbs dogs) and be prepared for your dog to be spoiled!

Products: 4-6 items including treats, toys, grooming and hygiene products. All treats are made in the USA or Canada. All products are tested by the office dogs of Barkbox.

Cost:
  • Monthly subscription: $29 per month
  • 3-month subscription: $69 ($23 per month)
  • 6-month subscription: $108 ($18 per month)
  • Barkbox deals have been featured on both Groupon and Fab.
  • Shipping is free, even to Canada!
  • 10% of all proceeds go to a local shelter or rescue. We adopted our dog from a shelter, so we greatly appreciate that Barkbox considers this an important aspect of their business plan.

Rewards program:
  • Earn 1 free month for each person you refer to BarkBox.
  • People who are referred get $5 off their first subscription.

Verdict: We have been Barkbox subscribers since June 2012. I appreciate that all the edible goods are made in the USA and Canada. Our dog loves the edibles and toys, while I love the inventive products. One of my favorite Barkbox discoveries is the Gulpy water dispenser, which is perfect for summer-time walks and hikes. The high-quality products and 10% shelter/rescue donation makes Barkbox a great subscription box!

Disclosure: I am not a sponsor (paid or unpaid) for Barkbox.  Post contains a referral link.
