I spent Friday morning at the Birchbox office! Birchbox held a Birchbloggers breakfast with special guest Alison Raffaele, a celebrity makeup artist and entrepreneur. I tweeted with Alison prior to the event and she replied with insightful information (with a fun twist), so I was excited to meet her in person. I was thrilled that I was one of the 12 lucky Birchbloggers who were chosen to attend this exclusive breakfast!

I'm starting to sound like a broken record...once again (yes, for the fourth straight month), I was disappointed in the Conscious box contents. I procrastinated while writing this review because I prefer to not write negative reviews on products and subscription boxes. However, I reasoned that it would be helpful for readers to see the contents of the July Classic Conscious box to determine if this subscription box is a good fit for their lifestyle. These opinions are solely my own and keep in mind that the same products/subscription box may have been loved by others.

Birchbox Local Event for New York Fashion Week

Last night, NYC Birchbox bloggers (aka "birchbloggers") were invited to the Birchbox Local event for New York Fashion Week. Birchbox Local is located in Chelsea Market, one of my favorite NYC institutions. Birchbloggers were spoiled with prosecco, sweets, and hair, nail and make-up services.

Product Review: Eminence Clear Probiotic Masque

Eminence is a cruelty-free brand from Hungary that produces handmade, organic skin care products. This clear probiotic masque is the first product that I've tried from Eminence and I am thoroughly impressed! For reference, I have combination acne-prone skin. I use this masque once every 1-2 weeks to help prevent blemishes and also resolve existing blemishes.

July 2013 Empties

August was a busy month - I was sick for over a week, we had 2 different houseguests and we went on vacation. So, now I have a backlog of posts that I had wanted to publish in August. This July empties post is one of those delayed posts. Other posts that are still to come: July Conscious Box, July Klutchclub, August Love with Food, August Wantable Box, August empties and another shopping haul. 

Well, I have amassed a small mountain of products in our tiny NYC apartment. So, I am determined to use up my inventory of samples and full size products! I am proud to say that I have been using up significantly more products ever since my first empties post in February.
