Last night, NYC Birchbox bloggers (aka "birchbloggers") were invited to the Birchbox Local event for New York Fashion Week. Birchbox Local is located in Chelsea Market, one of my favorite NYC institutions. Birchbloggers were spoiled with prosecco, sweets, and hair, nail and make-up services.

I was thrilled to receive an invitation to this 2 hour event because it was the first ever Birchbloggers event! I spent the first hour mingling with other bloggers and customizing my very own Birchbox from the sample wall. I met the lovely Val from The Urban Beauty Junkie, a cruelty-free beauty blog, and the beautiful Lara from Pretty Connected, a beauty and fashion blog. The second hour was a fun, beauty-centered Q&A with Birchbox co-founder, Katia, and Lucky magazine's Beauty Director, Jean Godfrey-June.

Two walls of Birchbox Local were lined with skincare, haircare, makeup and nail polish. I chose the following items for my customized Birchbox:

- Marcelle gentle make-up remover for sensitive eyes
- Serge Normant meta revive dry shampoo
