Travel Size Thursday: Anatomy Naturals, Caudalie, Clark's Botanicals and Scalisi

@BeautyEmpties started #travelsizethursday on Instagram a few weeks ago. The premise of this activity is that you pick 5 samples to try for the week and post your results. I loved the idea and recently started participating. It's a great way to use up my stash of samples. Also, I love reading the results from each of the participants at the end of each week.

Here are my first 5 picks for #travelsizethursday:

1. Anatomy Naturals 100% Natural Revitalizing Mud Mask

I received this mask in my KlutchClub December Best of Box. I was able to get 3 mask applications from this sample. The mask had a smooth texture that made it easy to apply and remove. There was slight-moderate tingling upon application and while the mask was drying. I liked that the mask did not dry very 'tightly' and it did not leave my skin feeling tight, dry and stripped. Results were similar to other facial masks - skin felt softer and smoother after mask application. However, the mask had a foul, off-putting smell that lingered the entire time that the mask was on. I would not purchase this mud mask due its' smell - I can get the same results with a mask that smells better.

2 & 3. Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum

I received this serum in a sample swap. I was able to use these 2 samples for about a week with once-a-day application. The serum has a pleasant scent that is characteristic of the majority of Caudalie products. The serum had a light consistency and absorbed easily. I did not use this serum for a long enough period to report on long-term effects, but my skin does look brighter. I would purchase.

4. Clark's Botanicals Anti-Puff Eye Cream

I received this eye cream in a sample swap. I loved this eye cream. It is a thick cream, so I only needed to use a small amount - a little really does go a long way with this cream. Although it is a thick cream, it was absorbed easily into the delicate eye area and did not feel heavy. I was able to use this foil for almost 2 weeks, applied both during the night and day. I was surprised by the results! The bags under my eyes were significantly less puffy and dark. This eye cream gave the impression that I was fully rested! I would absolutely recommend and re-purchase. This eye cream may even be worthy of 'holy grail' status - I would have to use a full size product first to determine if it deserves to be put up on that pedestal.

5. Scalisi Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30

I received this moisturizer in my Birchbox. This is a smooth, lightweight moisturizer that absorbed easily. It may be more appropriate for those with normal skin because my combination-oily face was 'shiny' immediately upon application and also throughout the day. I like that it contains broad spectrum SPF 30 because that eliminates a step in my morning skincare regimen. However, due to the 'shine', I would not purchase.
