We were spoiled with manicures, bite-sized treats, hot chocolate and cocktails. The manicures featured Gala's Gems, an upcoming Color Club nail lacquer collection. Finally, the evening ended with a Q&A session with Gala and Katia (Birchbox co-founder).
To top off this event, all Birchbloggers in attendance received a complimentary Birchbox, which included:

The Color Club nail lacquers have a pearly sheen. I think that these colors are gorgeous for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. Unfortunately, the polish actually peeled off of 1 of my fingernails that same evening and had peeled off of 9 of my fingernails by the next morning. Yikes! I'm not sure if the peeling was due to the prep/base coat/top coat that were used at the event, or due to the actual nail polish. So, I am going to try these nail lacquers with my Seche Vite base coat and Essie/Sparitual top coats to see if I get different results. |
