I spent the last few years in graduate school, so I know what it's like to be on a tight budget. I like to think that I'm a frugal, yet savvy, shopper. I try to find the best deal by getting cash back on purchases and using promo codes.
One method that I use to save money is to get cash back on my online purchases via ebates and fatwallet. Before I shop online, I check both sites because some retailers are only listed on one site and also because some retailers give different amounts of cash back on each site.
- Ebates: I've been a member for 9 years and have received $500 in cash back for online shopping. Cash back payment can be delivered via Paypal or a snail-mail check. Also, you can choose to donate your cash back payment to a charity or a friend.
- Fatwallet: I've been a member for 8 years and have received $120 in cash back for online shopping. Cash back payment can be delivered via Paypal or a snail-mail check.
This week, ebates is celebrating it's 15 year anniversary with 15% cash back at 100 stores, including C. Wonder, Sephora and Ulta! Ebates is a cash back program for online stores and even subscription boxes. Here are a few subscription boxes on ebates:
- Glossybox - $2.75 cash back
- Julep - 1.5% cash back
- Wantable - 10% cash back
If you are looking for a Sephora item to purchase, allow me to suggest the Sephora Sun Safety Kit. This is a 11-piece kit for $32 ($177 value) and it includes 16 deluxe sample size sunscreens, self-tanning and bronzing products in a travel bag. Plus, $20 of each sale will benefit The Skin Cancer Foundation.
